Crane Operator
Job description
The Hydraulic Crane & Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment to move, load, and unload scrap metal materials and other objects at a busy scrap metal recycling facility.
This position performs daily inspections and conducts all work in accordance with company safety requirements.
Having Sennebogen experience to operate is a bonus!
Hourly Rate
$25 / Hour to start with experience
Job Duties
· Operate cranes (material handler) to lift, move, sort, load, and unload metal material,
· Ability to sort metal material with magnet or grapple crane equipment
· Maintain radio communication with crew members while observing details on the ground.
· Observe hand signals from other crew members.
· Perform and log daily equipment inspections
· Monitor equipment operations and identify malfunctions.
· Report and/or perform/assist with routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment as required.
· assist with Junk vehicle car processing, buying of non-ferrous
· Inspect, adjust, and perform minor repairs.
· Comply with Company and Client policies and procedures.
· Support a zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
· Other duties as assigned
Monday & Friday (7am to 4:30pm) - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (7 AM to 3:30 PM)
Job Requirements
Educational, Experience, Professional, and Technical Requirements
· Heavy Equipment Operation Experience - 1 year
· Able to work in all weather and temperature environments.
· Must be able to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements of the Job
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Walk, sit, stand, climb ladders and stairs lift up to 50 pounds
· Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
